A Prayer from My Soul

You said You’d never leave me nor forsake me. I’m standing on that God! You said You’d provide for my every need. I’m standing on that God! You said seek first the Kingdom of God, and all these things would be added unto me. I’m standing on that God!! I put You in remembrance of Your word and Your promises, and Your word cannot lie! I am Your child, a joint heir with Christ. You own the cattle on a thousand hills. The earth is Yours, and the fullness thereof. I have joint ownership with You Lord. I know that You know what I have need of, even before I ask. I know that you don’t want me to be anxious for anything, but to yield to You in prayer and make every fiber of my being to trust completely in You.

So that’s what I do….I trust You! My soul waits on You! You said if I exhalt You, The Word, then You would promote me. I understand that promotion comes from You, and You alone. I stand on Your Word, I stand on Your promises! I will not faint, for I know I will reap, in due season. I believe the season is near, but help me endure these light afflictions, for I know you will deliver me out of them all! I will see manifestation of my heart’s desire! In the midst of my everyday goings and busyness, I’m acknowledging and seeking You for direction. Speak to me. I incline my ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to me. So I settle my spirit, so that I may accurately hear. Thank you now, for Your overwhelming peace that floods my soul. Where You lead me, I will follow.

Love ya!

A Thoughtful Reminder

I was driving down the road, taking a stroll in a bit of a slight rain shower, and a little melody popped in my head, you may know it…”Singing in the rain, just singing in the rain”. Then immediately I was reminded, “Veronica, even when you’re in the midst of rain and facing stormy weather in your life, you must keep singing, keep praising”! I can’t allow the enemy to steal my song to The Lord. Oh yes, he tries in every way possible, to quiet the voice that will magnify and glorify God. But during that drive in my car, I decided to sing! I sang and I sang, all while remembering Who blessed me to be able to lift my voice in praise. Who created me to sing songs that would lead others to lift their voices in adoration to Him? Who gave me a voice that would usher in God’s presence and create an atmosphere of worship, love and healing? In that small space and time, I remembered, God made me to sing to Him and declare His glory. I chose to open my mouth, while driving in the rain, and sing songs that would lift my spirit towards Him.

Upon ending my singing stroll of solitude, I stopped at a traffic light, right before turning on the road that leads home. There was a car in front of me, and the most beautiful words of remembrance were inscribed along the border of the car tags, which, thoughtfully, settled so sweetly on my heart…”YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN”. Tears filled my eyes as I opened my mouth and softly whispered, “thank You Lord”. In that drive, because I chose to lift my voice in remembrance to Him, He turned right back around to say that He notices and He sees me.

Dear friends, let me remind you today that, “you are not forgotten”. God is watching, and has been, from the very beginning. Your steps are being ordered by Him. Open your heart and allow Him to guide you even more, even through the rain, remember Him. Sing songs that give praise to Him, and I promise you, He will hear and will prove to you, like only He can, that He’s always listening, seeing and noticing your every move. You are the apple of His eye, and He remembers you.

Love ya!

Pray and Release

Prayer has such a way of providing relief. I realized the other day, how I got so up in arms about a thing, so caught up in what I thought should happen and how something should take place, and even went as far as rehearsing how a thing should carry out. But, that was me, in the natural, trying to fight, figure and force something, in my own strength. Now, all of that, when I was finished, truthfully, left me frustrated and flustered! However, thankfully, it didn’t end there. Guess what happened when I made a conscious decision to surrender everything in prayer? I felt such a release come over me. The thought of “why didn’t I just do this in the first place or even rest in the fact that I had done this already”? Well, that’s just it, I didn’t REST or completely give it over to God the first time. I still tried to have my hand in it. So, the second time I prayed, I turned it up a notch and went into complete “warfare” mode. Ya’ll don’t know about that “binding and loosing”! 🙂 No but seriously, Jesus says, “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. (‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭18‬ KJV)

So what I did instead, was to go to battle using my spiritual weapon of prayer! It provided the release I needed. I took my hands off of it and put it in the Master’s hands! What better hands right? 🙂 Say this with me, “pray and release”. Say it again, “pray and release”! We gotta stop trying to play “God” over our situations and concerns, and let “The One and Only God” be God! He don’t need no help!! (I’m talking to myself) Let me rephrase that for some…”He doesn’t need our assistance with anything”! 🙂 God is God all by Himself!

Ok, just one more time, for the sake of settledness and peace…”PRAY AND RELEASE”! 🙂

Love ya!!

You Were Built For This

I knew and formed you in your mother’s womb: you were built for this. Everything you’ve faced and experienced till now, has prepared you for such a time as this. Do not think it is all for naught. For I have and continue to work it for your good, because you love Me and are called according to My purpose. Yes, it is for My purpose. You were created to worship Me, and because I want relationship with you. This, you are facing, apply My instruction I have poured into you throughout this walk. Move forward, and walk it out. Keeping in mind, while you’re walking: you were built for this.

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭1-3‬ KJV)

You’re Graced To Do It

I really find it so utterly AMAZING how God works and thinks in a way that’s so not like us!! Lol!! I mean, it’s interesting how He knows just the right position or where to have us at a given point in our lives, that steadily makes us turn to Him and be like, “ok what”? I’m understanding how God will allow us to be positioned somewhere different than what we may have originally thought for ourselves, only to get us out of ourselves. See we often times think, this would be better if “I” was here or there, or if “I” was doing this or that. BUT….God says, “you” are not the one who’s doing “it”! OUCH!!! So humbling right?! Where He has us, is the place He wants us so that we realize and can say, “it’s not me, it’s all God”! When God elevates us, it should almost baffle us to the point where we’re like, “God, this was all You for real, cause me in and of myself, cannot or could not have done this”! The thing is, it may not have been the route we would have chosen, but He sees the kinks that’s going to prevent any future success, and what climate to put us in to work it out!!

We have to remember, in whatever state we’re in, God has graced us to be there. It applies to both ends of the spectrum, whether you have reached a point of elevation and status that you’re like, “how in the world did I get here”, or if you haven’t quite reached the level you’re attaining for, and you find yourself thinking, “I should be there by now”. God has graced you to do exactly what you’re doing, at this moment in your life, and “you” had or have nothing to do with it!! Lol!! We have to make sure we are constantly asking God, “what do You want me to do”, “how should I handle this”, “give me wisdom to know how and the strength to go through”!! That’s the position he wants us to be in and to remain. It gets us out of “self” into realizing we need “help”. God Himself is that Help!! Psalms 46:1 tells us that, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”. Let’s allow Him to continue to be that “very present Help”! Cause let’s face it, we need Him and where would we be without Him?! Can we say this together…”where He leads me, I will follow”. Now that’s what I call living and abiding in His grace!
> Love ya!

What’s your driving force?

What keeps you going everyday? What makes you continue to get up and put one foot in front of the next? What is it that motivates you or makes you say “gotta get up and get going”? Is it out of pure habit, or are you living life on purpose and with high expectancy? Hey, if we’re honest, we’ve all had those mornings where we’re like…”NOOOOOO!!!”, especially to the sound of that alarm clock, or we may have even uttered the words, “ok, here we go again” (in that mundane tone of voice). However, an alarm has been going off in my spirit that’s saying before I put one foot on the ground, give God thanks for letting me see another day, and praise Him in advance for the strength He’s giving me to get through and enjoy it! See in doing so, I’m acknowledging the fact, first and foremost, that God, I can’t make it through this day, or any other, without You! I need Your guidance. I need Your strength. I need Your protection! Give me wisdom and knowledge of how to go about this day! Go before me God, make my paths straight. Don’t let me dash my foot against a stone. This is my heart’s cry everyday. See, I realize that no matter how tough things may be in Iife, I know and trust that God’s got my back, and my life rests in the palm of His hands! He’s brought me through so much already, and His track record has proven “perfect” time and time again. Like the old song says…”Nobody told me, the road would be easy, and I don’t believe He’s brought this far to leave me”. That song rings true today, and my driving force is knowing that God is always with me. He said He’d never leave me nor forsake me (Heb. 13:5). He has a divine purpose and plan for my life, in which I’m walking, and that’s steady revealing itself everyday. That’s what motivates me and keeps me putting one foot in front of the next.

Keep God and the purposes He has for you to carry out, each and every day, at the forefront of your life. Allow that to be your driving force. We were all created to extend and demonstrate the love of God, so let’s me and you pray this together, “God I accept the love You have for me. Help me so that I may lovingly show it to others. I repent for where I’ve missed it, and help me to begin again”. See, no need to feel condemned, be hard on ourselves, or let anyone else put condemnation on you. It’s that simple! Now get busy showing God’s love on all you come in contact with today. Whether through a smile, an encouraging word, a helping hand. This will only build that driving force within you, and now, your words every morning can be “Ok God, let’s do it again”! 🙂

Creating your Word Environment

WORDS2

I really understand how important it is to really keep myself immersed in prayer and allowing God to pour into me, through His word, on a consistent basis. I mean, I know I’m going to have opposition, but the question is, when it shows up, how do I respond? What is the approach
I take, or from what angle will I choose to look at it?

My response really determines how positive or how negative a situation turns out. Proverbs 15:1 puts it like this, “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.”

So then, I must be cautious, in every encounter I have, as to which words I’m choosing. I need to be aware enough of the situation in order to decide if what I’m about to say is going to “turn away” or “stir up”? My motive is to keep an environment of peace, therefore I’m choosing wisely what flows out of my mouth. Which brings me back to my initial point that when I keep, let’s say…my “cup”, full of the word, and I’m in a steady mode of prayer and hearing from God, then the words that come forth are those that are edifying and cause for peacemaking.

We should always be aware of motives and our intentions so that in our presentation, it comes across in a manner that is both pleasant and understood. I don’t know about you, but I’m an advocate for PEACE! I need a constant flow from The Lord, both ways: I want Him to hear me and “receive” my prayers, and I definitely need to hear from Him! Amen? I don’t need anything blocking or interfering with my direct connection to God, especially in times like these. I gotta hear HIM!

So let’s be mindful today of our words and interactions.

Love ya! 🙂
